How Are Tests Successful?
The follicle cell growing in the ovary starts to grow with the effect of the follicle stimulating hormone FSH from the beginning of the menstrual period. When the diameter of the follicle reaches 17-20 mm on average, the follicle membrane is torn by the effect of the LH hormone produced from the brain and the egg cell inside is thrown into the abdominal cavity towards the tubes. This event is called ovulation.
After the follicle cracks, the life span of the egg cell that passes through the tubes is 24 hours on average, and after this period, the probability of fertilization of the egg with sperm drops to zero. For this reason, sexual intercourse and timing is very important during the ovulation period. When the LH hormone begins to rise in the blood, it begins to rise in the urine and ovulation occurs in the 24-48 hour period following the rise in urine.
